Engineering / Design Technology / Hard Materials Teacher (permanent, full-time)


An exciting opportunity is available for an outstanding Teacher of Technology who can teach up to Level 3 in a well-resourced, progressive and innovative faculty, with a proven track record for outstanding results and scholarships. In addition, there are opportunities for suitable candidates to join our Kāhui Ako Within School Leaders, and the possibility for a Recruitment, Retention and Reward allowance for the right candidate.

We may also be able to support with school house accommodation, suitable for families and individuals at a modest rate.

We are looking for someone who has skills in Hard Materials / Product Design / Design Technology. The ideal candidate will be confident to teach hard materials to students from Y9 to 13 using both NCEA and industry standards. Please state in your cover letter your areas of expertise.

This is a full-time, permanent position to commence Term 1, 2024.

Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $56,757 and top rate of $95,400. Hours of work will be full-time (25 hours of scheduled teaching time per week) as set out in the STCA.
