English Teacher (2026 permanent full-time)

Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1900 students with 160 teaching and support staff combined.

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and pedagogically strong teacher to join our Faculty of English in Term 1, 2026, in a permanent full-time position.

A familiarity with cognitive science-based approaches and their application to the classroom would be indicative of a strong fit with our faculty and whole school educational philosophy.

As a college we offer specialist English Literacy, English, English Extension and Scholarship English courses.

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant's qualifications and experience. An individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
