Science Teacher (full-time permanent 2025)


Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1800 students with 160 teaching and support staff combined.

We are seeking a Science teacher to join our warm, supportive, experienced Science Faculty. This is an opportunity to be part of a motivated, creative and best-practice informed faculty and to support exceptional learning outcomes for our students. Please specify your subject specialism, applications from Chemistry and Physics specialists preferred.

This is a full-time, permanent position to commence in Term 1, 2025.

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 (rates effective 2 December 2024), depending on applicant's qualifications and experience. An individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.

New graduate teachers may be eligible for a pre-tax payment of $10,500 through the Voluntary Bonding Scheme, subject to conditions.
