Sports Coordinator


Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful coastal setting near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. Since opening in 1975, the school has grown to a roll of approximately 1900 students and 170 teaching and support staff. We are proud of our dynamic and inclusive sports programme, which offers a wide range of opportunities for students to participate, perform, and excel across multiple sporting codes.

We are seeking an innovative, organised, and enthusiastic Sports Coordinator to join our passionate sports department. This role supports the day-to-day running of sport at the College and works closely with the Director of Sport to achieve our strategic goals of increasing participation, developing performance pathways, and promoting sporting excellence. This is a fast-paced and varied position that involves collaboration with students, staff, coaches, parents, and the wider community. No two days are ever the same.

  • Marketing Communication and Promotion
  • Systems, Data and Digital Management
  • Health, Safety and Compliance
  • Community and External Engagement

Applicants must have passion for sport and energy to effectively coordinate structures and procedures for sport, coaching, selections and competition. 

Hours are 37.5 per week, working during term time for 40 weeks of the year.  Position to start on Thursday, 25 June 2026 (or by negotiation).

Remuneration sits within Grade 2 of the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, plus any qualification’s allowances if applicable.
